Before going on with this post be advised it is a bit emotion and will most likely stir up lots of thoughts but please continue one...
... On Tuesday Feb 22 2011 a man that I met in High School and since then I have considered to be my grandpa left this earth and passed on. Of course there is the initial sadness and emotion but this death was unlike no other that I have dealt with yet. I have been apart of the family like I said since high school so the very next morning I went to go check on mom and make sure she was doing okay and to offer my condolences and support. Since she was handling everything and I was there for her I felt like I was handling everything indirectly. Usually when someone passes unless you are the spouse or immediate next of kin....you hear about the death....send your condolences....and show up to the memorial services. You don't see the "behind the scene" occurrences. Yesterday I was "behind the scenes" I went to the funeral home to do a walk through. I was there when all the phone calls were made to cancel things and notify people and end his chapter in this world. Being the person having to do all this sort of puts a hold on the mourning process. I am so glad that I could be there for mom yesterday and offer my help even if it's just moral support but it does make you think. If I was to leave this earth today would someone be able to locate all the necessary paperwork to cancel everything. Would this be something they can handle without going crazy trying to figure out everything? Is there a will in place?
This is just something that is on my mind and needed to share and vent.

Has winter ended??
Connecticut was hit hard this winter with tons and tons of snow. Although this is New England and snow is what we expect the past few years have been a walk in the park. However this year immediately after Christmas snow came and it kept on coming. Every single week we had a storm and some weeks we had more then 1 storm. I stopped keeping track but last total was 71.1 inches. However we have gone longer then a week without another storm and its been so warm out (slightly above 30degrees lol). I am beyond ready for Spring time and this Friday its suppose to be 60 degrees out. Time to go shopping ;-)
Ill try to post some snow pictures later on
Until next time...stay smiling

Quickie Post
So my last post was last year (around this time actually) not too sure why I haven't been posting but time to start again.
Not too much in this post since I can't sit for too long. Just got off work a couple hours ago and I am exhausted but I'm trying to stay awake so that I can make it to church this morning. Working 3rd shift is no joke and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but for right now it's going to have to work for me.
Looking around right now and realizing that my house is a MESS...I always envision ending up on A&E show Hoarders and that is so not cool. I have tons of things and I need to clean and I'm always thinking about total, complete clean out but it just doesn't happen. This is also a set back from working 3rd shift. I feel like I haven't completed anything since my schedule has changed. Today however I'm going to work on it. So going to end my quick little post and clean the living room instead.

Attempt Numero Uno
So in my attempt to be more open when it comes to men and relationships I have found a few things out so lets start with what happened tonight. I was in class with my best friend and we decided to go out for a drink afterwards. Once we got there we thought that tonight would be a good night to invite "someone" along and have some drinks and good conversation. But I figured out that I had no one to invite. Now don't get me wrong I have plenty of numbers (well not plenty but a couple) that I could've called but I am VERY picky. Being picky is not really a bad thing however in some cases I am picky for no apparent reason. Sometimes I just plain and simply don't want to be bothered with anyone. So long story short she had no one to call either and we spent a couple minutes dicussing why we were stuck in this situation. I did end up calling an old friend that I NEVER hang out with but he didn't answer and once he called back things were slowing down and we were ready to leave and once he was ready to hang out I was already back home. So I sit here and have nothing to really write about my "date" tonight since there was no date.
Going forward I add 2 things to my venture
1. Be more open to the possibilites out there
2. Try not to wait until last minute to make up a date on the fly
SN: we did sit next to a couple who seemed to be on their 1st date and at one point the guy says "I'm a compulsive liar...no no I'm just playing...but wait that could be a lie" guys this is NOT good conversation for a first date
Until next time...
